Ever hear of a bird that is able to kill a human? Yeah well now you have. The Cassowary is a large bird that lives in Australia and New Guinea.

Their closest relative is the Emu, it’s similar to an ostrich but extremely violent. They don’t give any f*cks. It’s believed these birds have developed from their ancestors around 25-30 millions years ago. The Jurassic period was 150 million years ago. So basically dinosaurs. Cool.

They stand 5 – 6.5 feet tall and weigh up to 160 lbs with three machete claws on each of their feet.

Well, a 75 year old Florida man, Marvin Hajos who raised one as a pet died after it attacked him. Marvin was a breeder of the rare violent bird and when he fell into the pen and it killed him.

Cassowaries do not fly but they can run 30mph, jump 7 feet high & they are also great swimmers. So basically the most dangerous bird on earth. Talk about crazy freak predator birds.

Picture a 160lb 6.5 ft ugly bird with 3 swords on each foot that jumps 7 feet in the air and slices whatever it wants into pieces.

No thanks. Just add it to the list of things that can kill you in Australia. I’ll for sure pass on ever going there.

Obviously it’s tragic whenever somebody dies. The main lesson here is, never raise birds that have the ability to kill you & definitely never get anywhere close to a Cassowary.
